SRI BHAGAVANNAMA BODHENDRAL SEVA SAMITHI ANNADHANA TRUST, GOVINDHAPURAM was founded in the year 1997. Sri Sri Bhagavannama Bodhendral was the 59th Pontiff of KANCHI KAMAKOTI PEETAM. His Holiness established “NAMA SIDDHANTHA” and preached RAMA NAMA to all, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. His Holiness attained Jeeva Samadhi at Govindhapuram.
Following the “Nama Siddantham preaching” of His Holiness, Paranur Mahatma, Sri Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal has been in the cause of spreading the message through his Pravachanams and bajans throughout the world.
Under the auspices of Paranur Mahatma Sri Sri Krishna Premi Swamigal, the above Trust was formed with the objectives to perform annadhanam to the devotees coming to the Adhishtanam of His Holiness, maintenance of cows especially old aged cows preventing them being slaughtered, arranging Bhagavatha Parayanams and Spritual Discourses for the well being of the world. This Trust also maintains a Gosala. Besides sheltering the milk-yielding cows, it is also taking care of the cows discarded/ meant for slaughter. Further, as part of charity, the milk yielded from the cows is being sent daily for the abhishegam of Lord Mahalingam of Thiruvidaimarudur. Originally this Gosala was started with 14 cows and now this has grown to over 40 cows and its calves, thus necessitating the expansion of the existing Goshala and also other infrastructural expansions. This entails an additional expenditure to the tune of more than Rs. 10 lakhs.
It is also to be noted that maintenance of the cows on a daily basis further entails an expenditure of Rs. 1.5 lakhs every month. Thus it is proposed to enrol devotes who may sponsor the feed and maintenance of the Cows One day in a year for which it is proposed to collect Rs. 5000/- every year. And on the day and month specified by the devotee the cows would be fed and Go Mata would be propitiated on that day with a prayer for the well being of the devotee’s family.
